Capitol Hill School provides information about before and after school care options for families as a convenience, but we are not affiliated with these programs. The Calgary Board of Education (CBE) does not operate, endorse, or specifically recommend any before and after school care services. Any arrangements between families and third-party providers are independent of the school and CBE.

Adventurers School Age Care

Adventurers School Age Care offers licensed before and after school care for Grade 1–6 students within Capitol Hill School. Adventurers operates independently and leases space in the school building to provide its program.

Please note that Kindergarten care through Adventurers is not located at Capitol Hill School. Kindergarten children from Capitol Hill School are served through the Adventurers program located at the Triwood Community Centre. The Triwood location provides before and after care, kindergarten enhancement programming during the day, and transportation between Capitol Hill School and the Triwood program.

The Adventurers program entrance at Capitol Hill School is located at the east doors, beside the parking lot and playground. Adventurers has its own drop-off and pick-up processes, so families are encouraged to follow their guidelines to ensure smooth and safe transitions for children. Please note that the school’s staff parking lot is not to be used for dropping off or picking up children.

Summit Kids – WHCA Campus

Summit Kids is another third-party provider offering before and after school care for families in the Capitol Hill community. Located at the West Hillhurst Community Association (WHCA), Summit Kids serves several schools, including Capitol Hill School.

Summit Kids offers programming for school-aged children, as well as an Extended-Day Enhancement Program for Kindergarten students. This program is designed to complement the Kindergarten day and includes classroom learning experiences, creative activities, outdoor play, games, and social opportunities in a supportive environment. Summit Launch programming is offered opposite a child’s Kindergarten session and also includes before and after school care between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
