Grade 5 classes are excited to take the lead in organizing a school spirit day on Thursday, March 19. Their idea is to broaden this beyond a traditional jersey day and focus on how clothing can represent the communities we belong to and care about.
Students and staff would be invited to wear something that connects them to a group or interest that is meaningful to them, for example:
- School or school-team wear
- Sports jerseys (hockey, soccer, etc.)
- Guides or Scouts uniforms
- Club, cultural, or community apparel
The goal of this day is to celebrate identity, belonging, and connection within our school community. By highlighting the different groups and activities that are important to us, we create opportunities for conversation, pride, and inclusion, while helping students see the many ways we are connected both inside and outside of school. It’s also a simple and accessible way for many students to participate.
