Bell Time Changes Coming to Capitol Hill School for 2025–26
Starting in the 2025–26 school year, Capitol Hill School will see a change in our daily bell times as part of a system-wide adjustment across the Calgary Board of Education. Beginning in September, our new start time will be 8:43 AM, with dismissal at 3:16 PM. On Fridays, students will be dismissed at 12:46 PM.
These changes are part of a larger CBE initiative in response to Alberta Education’s updated School Transportation Amendment Regulation, which comes into effect September 1, 2025. The regulation expands eligibility for yellow bus service and adjusts walk zones, meaning more students across the city will now qualify for transportation.
To support this shift and ensure an efficient and reliable transportation system, schools across the CBE are aligning bell times. This allows buses to run multiple routes and helps students arrive safely and on time, ready to learn. We understand this may mean some adjustments to your family’s routine, and we appreciate your flexibility as we make this transition.
