Happy Holidays, Capitol Hill School Community!
As we head toward the end of the calendar year and wrap up the first half of the school year, we want to take a moment to say thank you. It has been a bit of an unusual fall, but CHS continues to be a great place for teaching and learning, and that is because of the people who make up our community.
To our School Council and CHEES members, thank you for the time and care you put in behind the scenes. Your support truly makes a difference. To our volunteers, we are so grateful for the time you give to classrooms, events, and programs. And to our families, students, and community members, thank you for your continued support, patience, and partnership.
We wish you a restful holiday season and time to enjoy with those close to you. We look forward to seeing everyone in the new year.
With gratitude,
The Staff of Capitol Hill School
Thank You for Supporting Our Holiday Outreach
We would like to sincerely thank our Capitol Hill School community for the support shown through The Giving Tree and our Veterans Food Bank food drive. These initiatives would not be possible without the generosity and care of our families, students, and staff.
Today, we wrapped up the Veterans Food Bank drive with a fun and exciting LEGO Challenge, organized by Ms. Moore and our Grade 5 students. Each class worked together to brainstorm and build something designed to bring joy to others, wrote a short explanation of their creation, and took a group photo with their build. The creativity, teamwork, and thoughtfulness students showed were wonderful to see and a great way to celebrate the impact of their efforts. As a school, we collected over 1000 items throughout the food drive! That's amazing - way to go, CHS!
Thank you to everyone who contributed gifts, food items, and time. Your support allowed us to help CHS families and extend care beyond our school into the wider community. We are grateful for the way our school continues to show kindness and look out for one another.
