Parent Teacher Conferences
Our Parent Teacher conferences are coming up on March 20 and 21 and we are excited to have students lead the interviews to share their learning, progress and next steps. As we mentioned last week we will be conducting the conferences online. Sign up for conferences will open on March 14th @ 10:00 AM through MyCBE
Ramadan
Ramadan Mubarak to all our Muslim Capitol Hill Family members. Ramadan is a month-long celebration where many practice fasting from morning until dusk. Any of our fasting students will have access to the library during lunch hour if they so choose. If you need to connect about your child fasting or needing other accommodations, please contact the school.
Sugar Shack
On the afternoon of March 10, in conjunction with Branton School, Capitol Hill will host the sugar shack in the afternoon. The event staff will set up tables with snow, upon which they will pour hot maple syrup for students to roll tire d’érable (maple taffies on a popsicle stick). There is also usually (weather dependent) an interpreter, music, opportunities for photos, and activities such as a sack race, a 3-person plank race, and a tug of war. Feel free to join us in the Capitol Hill school field.
Fun Lunch March 20
Our next Fun Lunch is on March 20 and we need your help to make it a success! Volunteers are essential for sorting and distributing pre-ordered lunches, ensuring every student receives their meal on time. If you can spare a short amount of time, we’d love your support—arrive at 10:45 AM to verify orders and help distribute lunches to classrooms by 11:20 AM. This is a great way to meet other parents, get involved in the school community, and make a meaningful contribution. Even if you can only help once, your time and effort are greatly appreciated!
