Winter Break is almost upon us, and we are looking forward to a fun filled week at CHS.

Thank You!

The staff and students would like to thank you for your support for all the community outreach projects we have undertaken for our Winter Celebration this year. As a school, we have supported individual families, The Veteran’s Food Bank, Pawsitive Match Animal Rescue, collected clothing for a Clothing Drive, made cards for local senior’s centers, made, and delivered cards to our neighbours, and much more. This work is so important at CHS, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you!

Clothing Drive Extended:

If you did not have time to go through your closets or toy boxes, you have a little more time. The grade 4 students will be collecting gently used clothing, household linens, and toys until Thursday, December 21, 2023. Please send any bags to Ms. Gordon’s room each day. Thanks so much.

Holiday Happiness Week:

Just a reminder this week we will be getting into the Holiday spirit. There is no expectation to join in all of these events, students can choose what they would like to take part in on each day throughout the week.

Monday, December 18 – Ugly Sweater Day

Tuesday, December 19 – Festive Hat and Headband Day

Wednesday, December 20 – Candy Cane Day (wear red and white)

Thursday, December 21 – Swag Day (wear blue/green)

Friday, December 22 – Pajama Day

Winter Break:

The last day of classes before Winter Break is Friday, December 22, 2023. This will be a regular Friday schedule (8:30-12:40.) School will resume on Monday, January 8, 2024.

The staff at CHS would like you wish you and your families a Happy Holiday Season, and a very Happy and Healthy New Year.

Warm regards
